About the FC Irregulars:
Overview
The Hull FC Irregulars were formed in 2003 as a supporters team of professional rugby league club, Hull FC. Other supporter’s teams had been formed, but the Irregulars led the way and were the first club to have a direct link with the respective supported team. Working with the club at events and in many other ways, the Hull FC Irregulars became widely known in the city of Hull and the surrounding area.

In 2008, the Irregulars were part of the formation of the ‘Tag Merit League’ (TML) and, along with 9 other sides, competed for the title. In the debut season of TML, the FC Irregulars finished in 3rd place, beating Halifax in the 3rd/4th place play-off in October, held at the Chris Moyles Stadium, Featherstone with an impressive display.

Working with the community is an important part of the Hull FC Irregulars set-up, and in May they took part in a fund-raising match against the Great Britain All-Stars to raise money for local charity ‘For the Kids’. The GB All-Stars are made up of ex-players and included high profile stars Tommy Martyn, Garry Schofield and Paul Newlove. Each player that took part raised a minimum of £50, and, combined with other donations, they helped to raise over £1000.

In last years Carnegie Challenge Cup, Both Hull FC and Wakefield Trinity Wildcats were drawn to face each other in the semi-final, held at the Keepmoat Stadium, Doncaster. Both fans teams sensed this as an opportunity to promote the game of tag rugby, and after the Rugby Football League were consulted, it was agreed that a pre-match game would go ahead. Both the Wakefield City Webcats and Hull FC Irregulars played on the pitch at Keepmoat in an introductory game to tag in front of other fans of the two respective clubs.

In the off season of 2008/2009, the FC Irregulars have been training at the impressive Village Hotel Fitness Centre in Hessle, working on improving the physical and mental strength, but also bonding as a team which will improve the squad as a whole for the forth-coming season.

Once again in 2009, the FC Irregulars will be taking part in the TML looking to improve on the third place they achieved last year, but they also plan to have more community work to help the local area and its citizens.
Unique Partnership:
FC Irregulars and Hull FC
The teams unique partnership with 2005 Challenge Cup Winners Hull FC sees the FC backroom staff playing the Irregulars on a regular basis. The club also provide the Irregulars with a full page spread in each match day programme. The Irregulars reciprocate by offering support to bucket collections on match days and also participate in the clubs match day villages throughout the season – whether as players in games or by offering referees.
FC Irregulars Logo
Bringing Back the Classic Style
Since the Irregulars 2009 kit was designed in the classic style, it was felt that the logo should reflect this change. The original logo, with the 3 coronets will still be used, however we quite like the alternative logo. We thank Hull City Council for their permission in the use of the City's coronets.
